Aston Villa put on a dominant display to crush Brighton and Hove Albion 6-1 in the Premier League on Saturday, with Ollie Watkins stealing the show with a stunning hat-trick.
The victory sees Villa move up to seventh in the standings, while Brighton's top-four hopes suffer a setback.
Watkins opened the scoring for Villa in the 12th minute, driving home from close range after a scramble in the Brighton defense. He doubled his tally just before halftime with a well-taken finish into the bottom corner.
Villa continued to dominate in the second half, and Watkins completed his hat-trick in the 68th minute with a fine header.
Emiliano BuendÃa added a fourth for Villa in the 70th minute, before Neal Maupay pulled one back for Brighton in the 82nd minute.
Douglas Luiz and Ramsey added further goals for Villa in the closing stages to seal a resounding victory.
