Tottenham Hotspur U21s secure loan deal for Kazaiah Sterling

The youngster has struggled for minutes at senior level

Tottenham Hotspur U21s have completed a loan deal for Leyton Orient F.C. striker Kazaiah Sterling until the end of the season. The 22-year-old has found himself behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-min in the pecking order at Tottenham and has only made one appearance for the first team this season.

Sterling has made 10 appearances for Leyton Orient this season, scoring three goals.

He will be hoping to get more regular playing time at Brisbane Road and help Leyton Orient push for promotion to League One. Sterling is a product of the Tottenham academy and has represented England at youth level. He made his debut for the first team in the EFL Cup in September 2017 and has since gone on to make eight appearances in all competitions.

However, he has found it difficult to break into the first team on a regular basis and has spent time on loan at Sunderland and Doncaster Rovers. Sterling will be hoping to impress at Leyton Orient and earn a more prominent role at Tottenham next season.

Tottenham are currently fifth in the Premier League, four points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.

They face a tough run of fixtures in the coming weeks, with games against Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City all on the horizon. However, they will be confident of securing a top-four finish and qualifying for the Champions League next season.

Leyton Orient are currently 12th in League Two, eight points off the play-off places. They have won their last two games and will be hoping to continue their good form under new manager Ange Postecoglou.
