SEC Approves Eight Spot Ether ETFs
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Thursday approved applications from Nasdaq, Inc. and Cboe BZX Exchange, Inc. to list and trade eight spot Ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Is a Spot Ether ETF Next?
While this seems to be positive for both the potential approval of an ETF and ETH, there is a 90% probability the SEC will approve a spot ether ETF, one observer said, drawing attention to the fact that the SEC has green-lighted the listing of eight spot Ether exchange-traded funds.
Ether spot ETF approval would set a precedent as the first non-bitcoin digital asset to be considered a security by the SEC.
